For me, the hardest part about finding research is finding exactly what I want that’s not on Wikipedia. I usually go to Wikipedia first about search there, then when I find whatever it is I need, I Google that specifically to find an accredited source that says the same thing. Also I’m not very good with citing my sources. I don’t mean to say that I just plagiarize, but that my MLA skills are shaky. I don’t know exactly what to use and where to put it (mostly in the works cited page). I think that this class could have been more useful to me if it went over exactly how to cite our materials, like if there was a part on the test where it gave us the information and then we had to put it together and arrange it in the correct format and order. I think a class that taught us how to do that with a little more practice would be a lot more useful to me. I don’t know where my classmates are in their educations, but I felt like this class was a little too basic. I know it would be hard with such a short class that only meets once a week, but I feel like the curriculum should be a lot more in depth. However, I did learn a lot from our last class, the Google one. I didn’t know that you could go through and specifically filter the research results. Overall, I think this was a good class, there’re some things that could be improved but I think it was was a good experience.
